A British man from London claims he has racked up £30,000 in unpaid ULEZ charges from driving his child to school, since the scheme was expanded in August 2023 to include the area where he lives.
He told FNN:
I am not paying these fines because it is the car that emits carbon and not me.
The people who should be paying these fines are the manufacturers of the car not the driver.
To justify this perfectly common-sense position, anti-ULEZ protestors are now using a new slogan:
Drivers don't emit carbon. Cars do!
