The EU will finally introduce new regulations to manage the rise of AI, based on assessment of risk to humans.

The new Artificial Intelligence Act bans applications that are deemed "too risky" - for example using AI to decide whether to go to war or not.

AI based recommendations on shopping sites will be classed as low-risk whereas AI based medical diagnoses will be assessed as high risk.

The risk assessments will be delivered by a new AI based self-assessment tool and all risk-level decisions will be made by a new AI based regulator known as 'The Terminator'.

ChatGPT told FNN:

The new AI risk assessments done by a specially-trained AI tool and reviewed by the new AI regulator should help to make humans feel safer and have less to fear about the increasing use of AI in everything.
