Mattel's Ken turns 60 this year and new outfits are promised for Barbie's partner.

Robert Best, director of Design at Mattel told FNN:

Ken, much like Barbie, has always been a reflector of the times that he lives in.

FNN has been given exclusive access to the plans for Ken's new outfits which include:

GOK - Grumpy Old Ken with a pot belly, velcro strap-over shoes and beer stained baggy t-shirt and lounging pants. GOK accessories include a TV remote, a six-pack of beer, a pizza and a recliner chair.

FHK - Foxy Hipster Ken with a beard, cool glasses, earrings, a floral shirt, skin tight jeans and pointy shoes. FHK accessories include a walking cane, a pork pie hat and a cashmere scarf.

LBK - Lycra Biking Ken in skin-tight cycling shorts and top, velodrome style flared helmet and shades. LBK accessories include a £2000 racing bike, mini budgie-smuggler shorts and an automated hand for giving the finger to car drivers.

HTK - Hippie Throwback Ken in open necked cheesecloth shirt and velvet loon pants, platform shoes and neck choker. Accessories include a big fat doobie, a selection of British invasion long hair wigs and a zaftig California blonde to boogie with. 

We look forward to the other outfits the Mattel fashionistas will come up with for their 60-year old icon.

There is no Barbie companion for 60 year-old Ken as she died of cancer due to delays in treatment during the COVID pandemic.
