In a surprise move, the management of Twitter have decided to ban all tweeting to the site as part of their ongoing censorship of fake news.
Going forward, no tweets - however short and linked to whatever hashtag - will be allowed as Twitter has admitted that most of its users are trolls, their comments are inane and they are sick to death of never-ending hashtags.
A Twitter spokesperson explained:
We have discovered that people are using our site to post short comments that can then easily be forwarded on to other users. This contravenes our terms of service and must stop.
When asked how this will impact their business model, Twitter responded by affirming their commitment to censorship of anything that does not correspond to their own views as is their right as a non-publisher of user content under section 230 of the US Communications Decency Act of 1996.
