A new book, One-Legged Rastafarians Count has caused a furore by claiming that OLRs are not subject to enough discrimination and therefore not properly represented in various legislation intended to help minorities through positive discrimination.
The author, Solomon "Haile Selassie" Badass told FNN:
As surely everyone knows, the OLRs were originally expelled from Ethiopia and settled in the North London suburb of Neasden where the community thrived. There are now twenty-three OLRs practising their unique 'Hopi' faith in that tiny church you can see from the North Circular road that looks like a Puglian Trullo.
But the problem is that they are not recognized as a minority and therefore don't get the attention they deserve from the wider community or from legislators. As a result they continue to suffer from marginalization and a lack of positive discrimination.
I wrote this book to remind people that OLRs exist and that without them there would be no supply of Ganja in this country. We also know that if OLRs had two legs they would almost certainly dominate the world marathon running community.
Sir Mo Farah was unavaliable for comment.
