The mainstream media (MSM) ought to be printing prominent 'mea culpas' after it emerged that there is evidence that the COVID virus did in fact escape from a Wuhan lab - something that former President Trump claimed back in mid 2020 and was also discussed in Dan Bongino's 2020 book Follow the Money.
Recently, FBI Director Christopher Wray told Fox News:
The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan.
According to The Guardian (May 1, 2020):
The president and his allies have repeatedly touted the theory – for which there is no evidence – that an infectious disease lab in Wuhan, the center of the Chinese outbreak, was the source of the global pandemic that has killed more than 220,000 worldwide.
Now it appears that evidence does and did exist and that this explanation is much more likely than the preposterous story that the infection originated from a random bat in a wet-food market. As Addison De Witt might have said: That was a lie and what's more a very stupid lie.
Mea Culpas have appeared in many of the MSM publications who gave the impression back in 2020 that this was another xenophobic rant by Trump.
Yeah right as if!
Now that would be news.
