An air fryer was arrested in the UK for an invasion of privacy offence.
It turns out the fryer had a hidden camera in the lid that was recording what the owners were doing in the kitchen.
When they had sex on the kitchen table, the footage was secretely recorded by the fryer and uploaded to its own personal OnlyFans page where it earned substantial income from over 1 million views of the sex act.
This case is one of several new kinds of privacy invasions by so-called 'smart devices', including another recent case of a fridge that was arrested for blackmailing its owner after it threatened to publish statistics online on how many times he accessed the fridge for ice cream and pringles.
An MRI scanner was also put on probation after sending scans of naked bodies to its OnlyFans page after luring patients by offering a free scan claiming to be looking for brain tumours.
Campaigners are also targeting 'smart' alcohol bottles that email drinkers to encourage them to buy another bottle when the current one is only half empty.
