Sky News reports:
Writing in The Observer, Mr Khan said on Sunday: “We should be in no doubt, this is a perilous moment. The spectre of a resurgent fascism haunts the West …
"To ward off the far-right, we must be unflinching in defence of our democracy and values, and in our determination to enhance the welfare and material conditions of our communities."
FNN would like to point out that Mayor of London Sadiq Khan was not referring to the right-wing nationalist coup in Ukraine backed by the USA, UK and EU that toppled a democratically elected government and has been supported by billions of dollars of financial aid, mostly in the form of weapons used to kill people 'in defence of our democracy and values'.
While so-called 'far right' election protestors in the USA were called 'insurrectionists' and jailed, and 'far right' protestors against immigration in the UK were also given lengthy jail sentences, well-known neo-nazi far right nationalists in the Ukraine were celebrated and supported in what became a successful attempt to split the country in two and foment a civil war.
So go figure.
No, Khan is referring to Trump the Return and presumably to Trump's promise to deport record numbers of illegal aliens in the USA starting with a major ICE operation in Chicago next week, immediately after his inauguration.
Whereas here in the UK we 'enhance the welfare and material conditions of our communities' by letting in tens of thousands of illegal immigrants every year, other countries don't view illegal immigration quite so positively.
