Sky News reports:
British banks should abandon outdated ethical standards and increase lending to domestic defence manufacturers in a "patriotic" effort to ensure the UK can meet its security needs, defence suppliers have told Sky News.
Defence suppliers are asking for banks to abandon ethical standards about killing people and lend more for weapons production.
A spokesperson explained:
British banks are hiding behind outdated beliefs that provoking and promoting war and killing people - even if it is in other countries - is wrong.
Their 'ethics' are preventing them lending more to weapons manufacturers to enable them to continue the war in Ukraine.
And these are the same banks that 'debanked' Nigel Farage for having views they didn't like - talk about double standards!
A shame then that successive UK governments have allowed the UK to become a 'vassal state' of the USA which from the TSR2 onwards has destroyed its capability to enjoy "sovereign capability" - the ability to build and deploy its own equipment, weapons and systems.
