The UK PM"s choice of language leaves a lot to be desired.
He claims to be assembling a 'coalition of the willing' to extend the war in the Ukraine by at least another year.
This reference to another 'coalition of the willing' led by Bush and Blair to pursue the illegal war in Iraq is unfortunate given the estimated casualty counts of that 'willingness' from under 100,000 up to over a million.
But they were only towel-heads right? Not people with families and friends like the rest of us.
- The Health Ministry of the Iraqi goverment recorded 87,215 Iraqi violent deaths due to the Iraq war.
- An Opinion Research Business poll conducted August 12–19, 2007, estimated 1,033,000 violent deaths due to the Iraq War.
Despite the obvious precedent, Starmer used that language anyway hoping everyone had forgotten that it had been used before.
