Following Swedish Lutheran Minister Greta Thunderberg cancelling her sermon at the Edinburgh Book Festival, various other unknown authors have followed suit.

FNN has learned that these authors are walking out because Edinburgh is famously associated with global bestselling author J K Rowling.

One author told FNN:

I can't actually in good faith continue just talking about my book knowing that the world's most famous transphobic author is linked to Edinburgh.

She made a ton of money from her imaginative storytelling that has entranced children around the world and I just can't compete with that.

And anyway all it does here is rain, I hate pie and beans and the only thing on telly is Still Game reruns.

Festival Director, Rab C Nesbitt commented:

All this trans malarky! It's messin' wi' ma' heed! Anyone for a bevy?
