Russsia's Luna-25 mission, supposedly to discover if there is water around the south pole of the moon, has begun sending back data.

The first pictures sent back show a group of ape-like creatures surrounding a large black monolith and smashing various bones to a soundtrack of Shubert's Blue Danube Waltz.

The US CIA believes the Russian mission is really to determine if Stanley Kubrick fake-filmed the Apollo moon landings as a follow up to his mysterious 2001: A Space Odyssey movie.

We asked Davos, Switzerland leader of the Mysterons (aka The Hood) for his take and he told us:
