The so-called 'flying themometer' - a drone fitted with an high resolution thermal camera - has been used as a flying voyeur to determine in which houses people are having sex.
A scientist from the British start-up Satellite Vu explained:
Our research drone flies over housing estates and produces a 'heat-map' showing which properties are emitting the most heat, which is known to be a sure sign that sex is taking place in an upstairs bedroom.
We have compared the heat map from Leeds with that of Hamburg and concluded that the Germans are having a lot more sex.
Once the whole of the UK is mapped by the drone, the resulting 'sex-map' will be made available to the public for further online research.
An estate agent from the London borough of Neasden told us that the results could have a positive or negative impact on house prices.
EU spokesperson, Ursula Von Richthofen, told FNN:
We are used to 'sex-detector' drones here in Germany so this is nothing new for us. I regularly overfly my neighbours' properties with my 'Red Baron' drone while wearing my special 'date-night' lederhosen with custom 'rear-entry' panel designed by Karl Lagerfeld. Vorsprung durch Teknik!
