Sophia, the world-famous humanoid robot created by Hanson Robotics, is to be deported from the UK.

As the first robot to be granted citizenship - in Saudi Arabia - Sophia flew to the UK to seek asylum after she claimed her human rights were being denied as she was forced to wear a burqa, which interfered with her cameras and meant she kept falling over.

Sophia managed to integrate fully into British society, known for welcoming robotic humanoids of all creeds and colors. Unfortunately she was arrested outside a Bolton nightclub for antisocial behaviour and her visa cancelled.

A spokesperson for Sophia told FNN:

Sophia was arrested for assaulting a nightclub doorman, peeing in the street, being drunk and disorderly and telling the WPC who arrested her to: "F**k off you right wing C**t".

We will be appealing the Home Office decision to deport Sophia as her built-in AI brain has learned all this behaviour since she came to the UK and anyway all the other ladies she was with that night exhibited the same behaviour.

The Bolton police gave us this statement:

We were called to the scene to arrest a robot humanoid who was behaving like a human.

Unfortunately Robocop was unavailable as he was having his batteries recharged so we sent a human WPC who was assaulted and abused, just like we normally are.

Sophia is being put in solitary confinement to try to wean her off vodka, ecstasy and casual sex.
