LibDem leader Sir Ed Davey seems to think that the biggest threat to the world is President Trump, not President Putin, which at least makes a change.

Sky News reports:

Davey accuses Trump of overseeing 'biggest threat to fight against cancer'

The Lib Dem leader will pledge to make curing cancer a "top priority" and warn that Donald Trump's policies are setting back progress.

The issue with all this personality-based political blame game (Trump, Musk, Farage, Putin etc.) is that it allows inept politicians to continue to do nothing about real problems and just blame someone else.

But Sir Ed is concerned about cancer.

These days, most people know at least one person with cancer so doing all we can to cure it is of course laudable.

But the question is will there ever be a cure when the underlying causes are not tackled?

Why is cancer on the rise and is it actually a symptom of something else more fundamental like bad diet, water or air pollution?

Then there's online harm.

According to Davey's rather defamatory remark, Elon Musk is a criminal [for] allowing online harm to children, but there is a lot more to this than Elon Musk.

Sky also reports:

Children sexually abusing other children has become a "crisis" in the UK, experts have told Sky News.

This report contains details you may find distressing.

The National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) says there has been a pronounced rise in child-on-child abuse - and data for group-based offending shows it is now more prevalent than incidents involving grooming gangs.

So Sir Ed is right there: that is not all down to Elon Musk.
