Spanish police have seized an unmanned submarine being used to smuggle Brisith foodstuffs into the Costa Del Sol due to the current problems with importing foods into the EU from post-Brexit Britain.
A sub was found in a remote cove beach stuffed with pork pies and jars of Marmite, in contravention to EU regulations that require an Export Health Certificate (EHC) for all imported foodstuffs that contain ingredients of animal origin from outside the EU.
Bill "Battler" Heslop, spokesperson for the British Chamber of Commerce on the Costa told FNN:
Our customers are crying out for their full-English breakfasts, pork pies and marmite. So it's no f**kin surprise that criminal elements are trying to smuggle in these commodities using miniature submarines.
Last time one turned up on a crowded beach there was a riot as lots of lobster-tanned people surrounded the sub with welding gear trying to get at the pies. All that was left after they finished was a pile of scrap metal and some pie crusts.
Hey Muriel! Fetch me a tinny, I'm parched.
