UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps has declared a new 'Golden Age' for British shipbuilding following the announcement that the Royal Marines will get six new landing craft to replace their ageing Zodiac fleet.

A spokesperson from RM Poole told FNN:

Not since the launch of the Titanic has there been such a boost for British shipbuilding.

These landing craft will mean that the Royal Marines can go on the offensive against Russian incursions in the Ukraine.

Now all we have to find is enough Marines to fill them as fewer recruits are applying and passing the selection course.

Ex Australian Marine Bill "Green Hat" Heslop told FNN:

This is great news for the Poms. Instead of the Marines using rowing boats to do their amphibious landings they will get the latest in landing craft technology built by the Chinese from Indian steel.
