A Livestream Portal setup to connect New York with Dublin has been temporarily shutdown for 'essential maintenance' after it became clear that the portal was being used for purposes it was not designed for, including:
- live sex displays by webcam girls
- drug deals and ebay advertising
- a target for peeing on by homeless people
As a result, the software will be enhanced with AI to ensure that only wholesome images are transmitted by the portal. The AI will remove any stream involving people and instead focus on livestream shots of pigeons only.
Plans have been abandoned to create similar portals between Kiev and Moscow and Bejing and Taipei.
