The USA has welcomed the news that Russia will station WMDs on Cuba, in contradiction to its stance on this issue back in 1962 when the world feared nuclear war after Russia responded negatively to the US deploying missiles in Italy and Turkey.

So what's different?

A US State Department spokesperson explained to FNN:

The world will condemn this move by Russia as an act of naked agression since there have been no attempts by NATO to send armaments to the Ukraine or threaten the location of WMDs in Ukraine if it becomes a member of NATO. So Russia has clearly overreacted.

And we are not concerned that Florida is directly in line for any first strikes from Cuba as that's where Trump spends most of his time and anyway the state is full of Republican voters and those Sizzlers all you-can-eat buffets.

EU spokesperson Ursula von Richthofen commented:

Here in the EU we are not concerned about Cuba 2.0 After all, the missiles are not on our borders right? Vorsprung durch Teknik!
