FNN has learned from its China correspondent based in the Foo-Yung takeaway restaurant in Soho, London that a 21st 'Manchurian Candidate' actually exists.
The sensational claim is that a sophisticated robot has escaped from a robotics lab in Manchuria that was originally secretely funded by North Korea after the failure of the talks with President Trump. China denies the allegation.
But FNN has learned that the robot was extensively trained in US politics and anti-Trump rhetoric. Unfortunately it escaped before all its gyroscopic balance controls had been perfected so it occasionally falls over. There were also problems in its AI-brain to voice mechanisms causing it to make glaring verbal errors. And due to restricted eye movement, the robot normally wears aviator sunglasses to hide this defect.
The robot was deliberately designed to be a geriatric white male humanoid since it was assumed that no-one would entrust it with any real responsibility and this also meant that the range of emotions and physical capabilities of the robot could be limited to reduce development complexity.
The Manchurian Candidate is known to be on the loose in the USA and no one knows where it may turn up or what damage it might do. The Department of Homeland Security has issued a warrant for its arrest and there is a reward for its apprehension.
