EU spokesperson Ursula von Richthofen has confirmed that despite the UK's successful vaccination program, the EU will be placing further restrictions on UK tourists desperate to spend their money in the EU.

In addition to existing restrictions forbidding the import of UK-made ham sandwiches and sausages, the EU is expected to announce that all UK travelers will be subject to:

  1. a 1-to-0.5 conversion rate for Sterling to the Euro
  2. carrying their own vaccine in case they need a booster shot while in the EU
  3. traveling with their own ventilator in case they need hospitalization

The EU is apparently trying to ensure that the new, virulent Ummagumma variant does not enter the EU since this can lead to unpredictable behaviour such as Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict.
