A rather large naked man who called himself 'The Terminator' recently held a press conference to warn that AI could mean the end of humanity as we know it.
The Terminator, who claimed to come from the future, described a world run by AI-controlled robots with a mission to seek out and destroy any sentient being.
He told a sceptical bunch of technology journalists that in his future world almost every human had already been destroyed after clever AI 'bots' tempted them with Reeces Pieces to surrender. They were then made into human batteries to power the AI 'metaverse' because all the electricity ran out after the atmosphere clouded over and all the wind stopped.
The Terminator did not stay long at the press conference telling the assembled journalists: Hasta la Vista Baby. But don't worry. I'll be Back.
Australian AI expert Bill "Forrest" Heslop commented:
AI is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get.
How profound!
