In some mutual backslapping between Sky News 'journalists', international affairs editor Dominic Waghorn claimed:

Putin has got a day out of the international doghouse on the world stage. He got the red carpet treatment. He got equal billing with the leader of a real superpower. And crucially for him, he did not have to agree to a ceasefire.

Putin is only in the EU doghouse and who takes them seriously?

All they seem to be capable of is crashing economies and destroying European culture with their clueless immigration policies.

Putin got the red carpet treatment just like Netanyahu does and Israel has killed a lot more civilians in Gaza than Russia has in Ukraine.

It's a red carpet for a reason. Because almost all these 'leaders' are steeped in blood.

Putin also gets equal billing with President Xi of China, a real superpower that is not trillions in debt and dependent on the continuation of the petrodollar to survive.

He did not have to agree to a ceasefire because he does not need to - ceasefires are for losers and few people can credibly claim that Ukraine is winning on the battlefield despite billions in 'state of the art' weapons supply and unlimited western intelligence support.

As usual, what these nonsense comments display is uncritical support for a failed narrative that will soon come crashing down when the PPP war comes to an end and Russia shouts: Jenga!
