As previously reported by FNN, at least one EU MEP had been calling for the sanctioning of journalist Tucker Carlson for his interview with 'war criminal' Vladimir Putin.

Apparently this is not official EU policy since Carlson has neither threatened nor undermined the sovereignty or territorial integrity of Ukraine, which is a key condition for being sanctioned.

And anyway, the MEP in question is Belgian not German, so who cares what he thinks.

However, as a result of recent airstrikes in Iraq, that have undermined the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iraq, the USA will not be sanctioned - despite claiming that Iraq was informed before the strikes took place.

A claim later denied by a US State Department deputy spokesperson.

Somebody obviously hadn't read the memo - we're supposed to tell countries before we bomb them - or simply didn't care.

You can't make this stuff up.
