Hot on the heels of the G7 seance, as reported by FNN, when President Biden called former French President Mitterand out of the ether, the President has made another reference to the same G7 meeting that has put him in hot water.

He mixed up former German chancellor Helmut Kohl with Mrs Merkel, who was the actual chancellor at the time of the G7.

A spokesperson told FNN:

It's one thing to have the USA tapping your mobile phone but to be mistaken for Mr Kohl. Now that's just hurtful.

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) also commented on another reference made by the President:

We are not aware of any international team participating in world rugby known as the 'Black and Tans'.

Perhaps the President got confused while watching a Haka?

Meanwhile Sky News reported that the President easily won Nevada's Democratic primary after collecting 90% of the votes.
