There's been some bizarre stuff coming out of the European negotiations 'bubble' to end the war in Ukraine.
Sky News reports:

It said efforts to end the war would "include commitments to" the following:
- Provide sustained and significant support to Ukraine to build its armed forces, which should remain at a peacetime level of 800,000 to be able to deter conflict and defend Ukraine’s territory.
- A European-led ‘multinational force Ukraine’ made up from contributions from willing nations within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing and supported by the US. It will assist in the regeneration of Ukraine’s forces, in securing Ukraine’s skies, and in supporting safer seas, including through operating inside Ukraine.
- A US led ceasefire monitoring and verification mechanism with international participation to provide early warning of any future attack and attribute and respond to any breaches along with a deconfliction mechanism to work on mutual deescalatory actions that can be taken to benefit all parties.
Why would Russia would agree to commit to any of this when it holds the advantage on the battlefield?
Also, why would Russia agree to a A European-led ‘multinational force Ukraine’ - aka NATO forces in Ukraine - when preventing just that possibility was the primary reason the war started in the first place?
Then there's this:
The International Claims Commission for Ukraine will allow Ukrainians to seek compensation for "damage, loss or injury" caused by Russia since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
Presumably this will also include allowing Ukrainians in the east to seek compensation for 'damage, loss and injury' caused by the Ukrainian state during the period 2014 onwards, after the Ukrainian state persecuted its own people in the east - aka 'separatists' - with daily bombing and shelling.
But not only that...
Kaja Kallas has been speaking in The Hague at the establishment of an International Claims Commission for Ukraine.
The commission, which will validate war damages in Ukraine to be paid by Russia, sends a message to future aggressors, Kallas said, that "if you start a war, you will be held to account".
It is now quite clear to anyone who has read the evidence that this proxy war was provoked by NATO and then prolonged and provisioned by them after they undermined the 2022 Istanbul peace talks.
This undermining pf peace in 2022 has led to hundreds of thousands of unnecessary battlefield deaths and casualties on both sides.
Kallas, of all people, must know all this but persists in her delusional nonsense.
So one assumes the new commission will also hold NATO to account for their provoke, prolong and provision war crime?
