The hand-wringing over Greenland in the MSM reminds FNN of an old Punch cartoon by James Gillray of the UK and France carving up the world:

Similar cartoons were produced about the end of WW2 involving Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin:

And even more recently of Biden and Putin:

The point is, these 'carve-ups' are nothing new.
Sky News reports:
Threat of Russia and America exploiting the Arctic another challenge for Europe
Both President Trump and his vice president say America needs Greenland for security. This seems disingenuous. There are no hostile fleets circling the Arctic territory whatever they claim.
Well it may seem disingenuous now but imagine the headlines if a Russian or Chinese fleet was spotted off the coast of Greenland.
Then everyone would be clamouring for the USA to take action and protect Europe from 'Russian/Chinese aggression'.
Greenland may historically 'belong' to Denmark but it's hardly a part of Europe, so it's this association itself that seems a little 'disingenuous'.
Obviously it's the idea that America and Russia could co-operate on anything that seems to stick in the throat of the cold-war 2.0 MSM.
The 'hero' working with the 'villain'. God forbid!
