Noisy working is the new trend among those still working from home (WFH) who have refused calls to go back to the office and actually do some work. Noisy working is the opposite of 'quiet quitting' where essentially people 'work to rule', as it used to be called, by working their contracted 35 hours instead of what they claim is 60 hours+ a week.

Noisy working means that when you are on a phone or video call, the call is accompanied by as much background noise as possible to assure others on the call that you are in fact working your nuts/tits off.

We asked a twenty-something marketing assistant how noisy working works and she told us:

Everytime I do a call with my boss I have loud road drilling sounds in the background to prove that I am in fact digging for marketing gold and not just sitting here in my onesie with a plate of scoff, updating my 'influencer' blog with selfies.

A spokesperson from a leading white collar union commented:

Our WTF workers should not have to fake background noise to cover up the fact that they are in their onesies with a plate of scoff updating their influencer blogs. This is 21st century Britain for Christ's sake. Get with the program!
