The RAF Regiment, the force tasked with protecting the UK's RAF bases, has announced a new unit will join its ranks: The Palestinian Action Brigade!
Sky News reported:
The campaign group Palestine Action said two of its activists entered the Oxfordshire base [RAF Brize Norton] and used repurposed fire extinguishers to spray red paint into the turbine engines of two Airbus Voyagers.
A spokesperson explained:
Now it's clear that a couple of guys on scooters can break into a major RAF base and damage aircraft, we have decided to recruit the Palestinian Action group in order to leverage their skills for destroying enemy aircraft on the ground.
You may remember this was what the original Special Air Service (SAS) group used to do to Rommel's air assets in the desert in WW2, so they are emulating a famous role model.
Obviously we can't use them to help destroy what's left of the Iranian air force but maybe they could be used in the Ukraine against the Russians.
Anywhere in fact - as long as they are not destroying aircraft in the UK - that way we can ensure this will never happen again as it makes the Regiment look bad.
