Cypriot Sovereign Base Area (SBA) police arrested a British man in Cyprus, suspected of spying on the RAF base at Akrotiri presumably to monitor if the base was being used by US aircraft on their way to bomb Iran.

A spokesperson explained:

A heavily tattooed British man was arrested after he was found wearing a pink tutu to help disguise himself as a flamingo on the salt flats next to Ladies Mile beach.

We knew he was not a flamingo as he was standing on both legs and using binoculars either to spy on the base or examine a rather large female bather in a skimpy bikini.

When he was arrested he was found to be in possession of a smartphone for taking photographs, a 1968 copy of The Observer Book of US Aircraft for identifying incoming US planes, and a dog-eared copy of the Easyjet On-Board menu so he was clearly a spy.

Police suspect he may be a 'cell' of the Palestinian Action group that has been targeting RAF bases in the UK.
