Elon Musk has announced that he will build a company town to help make life more affordable for employees of his various companies.
Company towns used to be popular in the 19th century, when many philanthropically-minded entrepreneurs built them around their factories in the UK, USA and elsewhere.
However, Elon's town is a little unusual - it will be built on Mars!
Due to the commuting time from Mars to say the SpaceX plant in Texas, shift patterns will be changed to a one-month-on, one-month-off regime. Texans living near the Musk operations will need to get used to round-the-clock rocket launches and landings as the employess come and go. the landing site is likely to be named Cape Cadavaral.
But the plans for the new town are already under threat from - yes, you guessed it - the Mysterons.
A Mr. Klaus Schwab, the earth-based spokesperson for the Martian Mysterons, located in Davos Switzerland, told FNN:
Hahahahaha! Elon will never build a town on our planet as it's impossible to get planning permission for anything located above ground.
Earthmen...we are peaceful beings. And we know this town will be another means for you to try to destroy us. But you cannot succeed. You and your people will pay for any act of aggression. This is the voice of the Mysterons.
We know that you can hear us, Earthmen. Our retaliation will be slow, but nonetheless effective. It will mean the ultimate destruction of life on Earth. It will be useless for you to resist, for we have discovered the secret of reversing matter, as you have just witnessed.
We were then handed a pork pie that was created by reversing the matter from a Swiss Raclette cheese (the usual Mysteron trick).
