Due to a shortage of reindeer, anti-vaxxing by elves and, in the USA, continued free money from stimulus checks, Christmas may be cancelled.

Lapland spokesperson Kris Kringle told FNN:

No-ho-ho...This is an awful year for Santas.

Christmas wish-lists have not been delivered due to a lack of drivers and backed up ports, the naughty list is now banned as it discriminates against badly behaved children and sleighs have no fuel to power their decorative christmas lights.

Gas shortages mean that many chimneys are now in use as fireplaces burn furniture to keep houses warm, making it impossible for Santas to visit.

Plus food shortages have resulted in the Sami eating all their reindeer. 

EU spokesperson Ursula Von Richthofen told FNN:

We are offering Santa training to all asylum seekers in the EU. We even welcome Jewish and Muslim Santas since there are so few Christians left in the EU. Vorsprung durch Teknik!
