That pesky phrase 'full scale invasion' is back in the news but this time it's not referring to Russia and Ukraine but the USA and Iran... as Sky News reports:

Deborah Haynes, our security and defence editor, says the move against Iran represents the largest foreign policy gamble taken by the White House in decades.

She says: "It's the biggest gamble by any American president in terms of foreign policy since George Bush launched the full scale with a large scale invasion of Iraq, more than 20 years ago.

"Donald Trump has made clear these are major combat operations. This isn't just a one-off, targeted strike, as he did before last year in June, when he launched those strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities.

'the full scale with a large scale invasion of Iraq' ... what does that actually mean ... who knows or really cares?

The MSM has another war to report. Yippee! That's the second or third this week!

The headline is: Iran latest: US launches 'major combat operations'.

So that's alright then - not a 'full scale invasion' just 'combat operations' - that sounds soooo much better!

Perhaps they should call it a 'special military operation' like someone else did?
