A leading fashion retailer has announced that it will be introducing handbags made from a lab-grown derivative of the mycelium in magic mushrooms that looks a lot like leather and has the added benefit of taking you on a trip if you lick it.
A new psychedelic ad campaign is already in the works to promote the new bags in order to appeal to aging hippies and hipsters. Think the poster for Hitchcock's Vertigo.
A spokesperson for the fashion retailer told FNN:
The high-end handbag market has been moribund for some years, so these new mushroom bags will inject a much needed boost of innovation and enable us reach out to new users both in and out of rehab.
These bags are fully recyclable in that when you become tired of it, you can simply boil it in a pot with some chicken broth and have a big pot of magic mushroom soup. Ideal for retro dope parties. Far out man!
