The Spectator newsletter reports that King Charles III hosted German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier and they toasted Ukraine:

The United Kingdom and Germany together stand with Ukraine and bolster Europe against the threat of further Russian aggression

Not that the Royal Family have a great history of 'standing together' with anyone - even their own relatives.

When their relatives the Romanovs requested help to get exile in England in the face of the Russian revolution, they were refused.

The Romanovs were then all murdered.

I think they call it 'British justice'. Not really a good precedent for Ukraine.

Perhaps the Duchy of Cornwall could stump up a few bags of organic sprouts for Ukrainian christmas tables?

As Germany commits to spend billions to rearm and turn itself into the Fourth Reich, the King is in danger of digging up all those bad memories of Edward VIII and his love for the last Reich.
