The Olympic Committee (OC) has announced that as a follow-up to trans-men being able to compete in female events, robots will be able to compete in male events.

This follows the impressive display of synchronized dancing by a troupe of Boston Dynamics robots.

The rationale for the decision is that if female athletes must compete with trans-men, then male athletes should be faced with a similar reason for wondering why they bother with all that training and hard work.

A spokesperson for the OC explained the decision to FNN:

It is discriminatory that only female athletes should be forced to compete with potentially superior 'trans' competitors, for example in sports such as sprinting or weightlifting, so we have decided that male athletes must also be forced to compete against potentially superior robotic competitors. After all that's only fair. And we at the Olympic Committee are all about fairness.

A BLM spokesperson commented:

The Olympic Committee knows that athletics and sport generally is an area where POCs have world-class status so this is yet another example of institutional racism coming into play from white oppressors.

A Boston Dynamics spokesperson told FNN:

We will be issuing all our 'sporting' robots with 'gender identify' certificates to ensure that they compete on a level-playing field with humans and hope that robots will also be allowed to compete with female athletes soon, just to make things even more challenging for sportswomen in the future.

EU spokesperson Ursula von Richthofen told us.

We think that having robot-level performance to compete with will raise the level of aspiration for both female and male athletes, even though they know they can never win against this kind of competition. Vorsprung durch Teknik!
