The editor of the German publication Die Aktuelle has been fired after promoting an 'AI interview' with racing legend Michael Schumacher on the front page, headlined:

Michael Schumacher: The first interview!

But FNN has learned that we have not heard the last of fake AI-generated inteviews, in fact a new magazine is rumoured to be in the works that will consist only of fake AI interviews with dead people.

The new magazine, codenamed 'The Fakair', is betting on a marketplace that is ready for fake interviews with major figures of the past and is going for broke with a premier issue focused on infamous characters such as:

  • the Emperor Nero
  • Genghis Khan
  • Adolf Hitler
  • Joseph Stalin
  • The man who killed Liberty Valance

The magazine will have no trouble generating content, as apart from 'data-mining' all the dead people of the past, new people are dying every day with ever-larger digital footprints that can be leveraged by AI in order to pose interesting questions and create equally interesting answers.

The AI-interviewer will be able to 'resurrect' these dead people by asking them questions that nobody ever asked them in their lifetime, making the interviews truly a 'world exclusive'.

The results could be fascinating. Fake but fascinating.
