Following the announcement of the Northern Independence Party (NIP), aiming to create Northumbria - a new country in the North of England - FNN has learned that the English country of Dorset is to launch its own independence party.

The new party, called the Dorset Omission Party from England (DOPE), will be led by famous Dorset resident Worzel Gummidge and their MPs will be known collectively as 'Wurzels'.

The chief wurzel told FNN:

She did the milking and I whipped the cream, as I showed her the works of my thrashing machine.

... which wasn't what we asked about but does paint a picture doesn't it?

We were then offered a bag of Dorset Knobs and a pint of cider, which was most welcome.

Worzel Gummidge was unavailable for comment as he was out in the fields scaring off birds.
