The BBC has apologised for calling the British Communist Party 'far right' claiming that it's Verify service got its right and left hands mixed up - an easy mistake to make after all.

It has also claimed that a new 'disinformation correspondent' was appointed precisely because she told porkies on her CV and because she had applied for a job in Moscow, widely reckoned to be the disinformation capital of the world, slightly ahead of Kiev.

A spokesperson for the BBC told FNN:

You could hardly expect us to employ someone for our Verify service who wasn't skilled in disinformation. Come on!

The BBC's own fact-checking service Verify is to get more funding in order to enable it check into everything the BBC says, instead of the corporation spending the money on quality programming which is what license payers expect.

Look out for a new offering on the BBC modelled on the very successful show That's Life to be called Despite Brexit and focusing on notable Verify fact checking successes and continued lamenting about Brexit, Trump and Russian disinformation about the proxy war in Ukraine among other BBC bete noirs.
