New French Prime Minister, Michel Barnier, has re-iterated his stance on immigration:
"There is no red line," Barnier said, adding: "We need to open the door...to all those who want it."
He neglected to add: And then send them all to the UK.
Barnier also said: "There still is a feeling that our borders are sieves and that migration flows aren't being controlled,"
The biggest sieve being that between France and the UK where even boats can get through.
But Barnier has won the support of the right-wing in France because he is committed to the EU value of freedom of movement - by which he means freedom of movement across France and over the channel to the UK, preferably with no stops in-between.
