President Trump has introduced a new demand into the negotiations to end the war in Ukraine by offering to make the 51st state out of what remains of the Kursk salient in Russian territory.
Currently, Ukrainian forces maintain a foothold in this Russian territory after invading it in 2024.
A spokesperson explained:
If we are going to let Russia have the Crimea and the Donbass then it's just common sense that they should let us have the Kursk salient currently occupied by Ukrainian forces.
Then, just like we did in Kosovo with Camp Bondsteel, we can build an enormous NATO base there to protect the West from further Russian incursions.
We promise not to allow the new Camp Azov base to expand further eastwards.
The President has said that he thinks having a NATO base in Russia would be just beautiful and that the new PX on the base could make a fortune selling US goods to Russian consumers desperate for hamburgers and Diet Coke.
