Sky News reports:
Explosives found near pipeline supplying Russian gas to Hungary 'act of sabotage', says Viktor Orban
Hungary's leader has claimed explosives found a few hundred metres from the Balkan Stream pipeline were left there "as an act of sabotage".
As the Hungarian election approaches the 'dirty tricks' brigade is in full swing.
Something was clearly needed by the opposition to counteract the supportive visit by US VP J D Vance.
Were these 'US-origin' explosives planted by Orban supporters to claim a threat to Hungary from Ukraine?
Or were these explosives planted by Ukraine, probably with the encouragement of the EU, in order for them to claim a 'false-flag' operation by Orban supporters?
FNN's bet is on the latter but the reality is we'll probably never know.
If Orban wins, then the election will contested as 'illegal' anyway by the EU - explosives or not.
If Orban loses, then the whole question over who planted these explosives will sink without a trace as no-one will care - objective achieved, Orban out.
That's the way false flags work today.
