As students flock to sue University College London (UCL) for not fulfilling their tution contracts, it has become clear that many degree courses in the UK are not worth the money and do not lead to better careers or higher paid jobs.
A disgruntled student told FNN:
When I signed up for my £10,000 a year Bachelors in Barista Studies I had no idea that this would only qualify me for a job in Greggs making bacon rolls.
Nobody told me that you need a Masters to even be considered for a job in Starbucks.
It will take me 36 years to pay off my student loan from my minimum wage job - assuming it is not taken over by AI in the future.
But it's not all bad news, another student, studying for a Masters in TV Presenting and Newscasting commented:
I'm having a whale of a time. I'm currently in Thailand on work experience learning the sex business. With the kind of salary I can earn at the BBC, I expect to pay off my student loan in six months.
