Investors are flocking to the UK to invest in a mainstay of the British beach experience - the beach hut!
As staycations are rocketing due to the cost of flying and the inability to go anywhere due to a never-ending variety of strikes impacting travellers, the value of beach huts is rocketing.
Canny Australian investor Bill "Bournemouth" Heslop told FNN:
I love my beach hut which is about the size of my wife's shoe closet and also smells of feet.
I can take shelter inside when it rains and listen to the cricket on my radio while reading my subscription copy of Health & Efficiency in private.
There's a bucket in the corner where I can take a dump, a calor gas cooker for heating up my supermarket bottled water for a brew, and a chair to relax on to watch the jammed holidaymakers fighting for their spot on the beach.
It's well worth the £5000 a week I pay the council to rent it. Bliss!
