Recent reports from the Italian comedy duo Draghi and Letta (aka Cannon and Ball) propose a new EU to resolve all the woes of the current one.

Recommendations include:

• Removing the veto to solve the problem of Hungary and other pesky 'rogue' members
• Making the EU a 'virtual country' so it does not need any politicians in Brussels and they can all work from home
• A 5th freedom of movement given that the others have clearly failed
• Integration of financial services at EU level in order to crush the City of London and slash the UK's GDP
• Integration of telecom services at the EU level in order to monitor everything and curtail freedom of speech
• Integration of energy at the EU level in order to weaponise the supply of energy to member states
• Stealing Russian assets to pay for the Net Zero policies (oh the irony)
• Organizing the world into 3 superstates called: Oceania, Eastasia and Eurasia
• Establishing a new Ministry of Truth to promote EU values
• Installing a 'telescreen' in everyone's home

And people wonder why the UK left the EU.
