An alarm clock from Arkansas has emerged as a potential rival to former President Trump for the republican nomination for US President in 2024.

According to Sky News, the alarm clock told ABC's This Week program:

"I'm running because I believe that I am the right time for America, the right candidate for our country and its future."

This is believed to be the first time an alarm clock has run for President.

An Apple Watch and a Fitbit are also rumoured to be about to announce their own bids for nomination.

This election will certainly be one to watch.
