According to Sky News:
Parts of Antarctica are turning green more quickly than previously thought, leaving scientists "shocked" at the impact of climate change in the region.
The area covered by vegetation in the Antarctic Peninsula is 10 times larger than four decades ago, a UK research team has said.
A spokesperson explained:
Antarctica is the only place in the world that has successfully transitioned to a net-zero state and as a result is rapidly turning green.
The first species of Antarctic monkey - aka the Meltdown Monkey - has already been spotted, beginning the displacement of the indigenous Penguin species.
The monkey is reportedly very fond of pemmican and Kendal Mint cake.
Soon, other species are expected to move in as Antarctica becomes the world's newest rainforest. Bonus!
Swedish Lutheran minister Greta Thunderberg told FNN:
This is another victory for environmentalists. Soon all the polar regions will be replaced by new rainforests soaking up man-made carbon and converting the rest of the world to a net-zero version of Atlantis.
