Tilly Norwood: Creator of AI actress insists she's not designed to steal jobs
An AI production studio has been roundly criticised by Hollywood - but its founder has insisted its creations will boost the entertainment industry, not hinder it.
Tilly is in the vanguard of the AI-generated movie business i.e. movies or parts of them generated by AI using a new generation of synthetic Aictors.
Tilly may have 'ruffled feathers in Hollywood' but movies will be full of Tillys soon.
For all its talk about 'stories' - Hollywood is all about money.
And once it's clear that people will pay for AI-generated movies populated with Aictors, the floodgates will open and Aictors will be everywhere.
The next step will be to train AI on living, and dead, real-world actors so that movies can include a mix of current and past talent, something impossible to do without AI.
For example, FNN would love to see Barbara Stanwyck back on-screen and giving some of today's talent the run-around.
Why, Hopsi, you aught to be kept in a cage!
Groucho Marx could be cast as the next James Bond wisecracking his way through a bunch of villians that could include Boris Karloff.
The possibilities are endless.
But now, in their new role as 'Aictor', living talent can 'license' their content for AI training, then just sit back and let their Aictor residuals roll in from movies they didn't even have to act in.
That will soon change the luvvies attitude to AI...
