Sky News reports:
Mile after mile of grey rubble - the view from a plane dropping aid to Gaza.
But Trump is not coming to Gaza's aid as former US President JFK did when he famously said: Ich bin ein Berliner [I am a donut].
The grey rubble reminds FNN of the view from the air of smashed German cities as a result of allied round-the-clock bombing in WW2.
Allied personnel who flew into Germany over these wastelands post-war, marvelled that anyone could have survived these bombardments.
After Berlin was blockaded by the Soviets - much like Gaza is blockaded by Israel today - a massive allied airlift was organized to feed West Berlin.
In those days the Western allies co-operated to save Berlin, even though was full of Nazis or at least plenty of Hitler's 'willing executioners'.
But today, no such luck for the Palestinians.
How times change.
Damn! If only it were Russians who were blockading Gaza and not Israelis.
