The hand-wringing and powerless defiance in Europe over Trump's threat to takeover Greenland is quite comical to watch.

While many European and/or NATO countries happily participated in ignoring the territorial integrity of many other nations, now one of them is being threatened, the weeping and wailing has started.

But we are allies ... sob, sob!

Trump may be doing this for sound strategic reasons from the US perspective but really all his antics smack much more of bolstering his legacy.

By acquiring Greenland, Trump will rival the Alaska and Louisiana purchases, securing his place in history as a President who significantly enlarged the territory and power of the USA.

Not bad for a boy from Queens.

Maybe European leaders should be reading Caitlin Johnstone who is calling for regime change - in the USA.
